Eriksson (the head coach of Shanghai SIPG FC) :

Today’s result was bad. We once stayed a good state, but it ended after the red card. There was nothing to say. We met an excellent football team. Our rival’s performance was better than us. It was quite difficult to accept the score of 5-0, but that was football. The rival’s performance deserved promotion through two rounds matches. I was satisfied with our player’s fighting will. They not only withstanded the rival’s offensive, but also never gave up even 0-2.

We did well in the first half and the beginning of the second half. The front court skill of our rival was quite good. Their two foreign aids liked inscribed balls. They gave us great pressure in middle. It was difficult to defense in defence middle field and center back. In fact, we changed Yu Hai into playing defending midfielder. But unfortunately, this change couldn’t work.

We were satisfied with this stage of AFC Champions League, but not today’s result, especially, the performance of the second half. It was OK for our team to enter the quarterfinal.

Today’s game taught an important lesson for us. We needed to sum up experience. We still hoped to enter AFC Champions League next season. And at present, we need to unite and play the CSL, struggling for the opportunity to enter AFC Champions League.

If our rivals of CSL had substantially led, like Jeonbuk Hyundai, I would have rotated players, even rotated the whole players. We can’t sustain the loss of CSL, so we should try our best to play every matches of CSL for our goal which entered AFC Champions League next season. This goal was important as this year’s AFC Champions League task.

Choi Kang-Hee (the head coach of Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors FC) :

We were very happy to get this great victory. After Shanghai’s match, we knew about our rival’s strengths and weakness and made preparation then we got good effects in today’s match.
